This excellent book from Tess Whitty, "The Marketing Cookbook for Translators", is basically the 'marketing bible' for the freelance translator.
A successful translator herself, Tess runs the hugely successful podcast "Marketing Tips for Translators". Her experience and knowledge in marketing means she is and is ideally placed to write a book like this one.
Starting off with a basic introduction to marketing concepts, this book is suitable for the new and experienced translator alike. The book is very well organised, moving from basic marketing requirements to effective planning, through to winning and retaining clients and industry best practices. Tess provides clear and defined steps for action at each stage, making the advice within this book easy to implement for your own translation business.
This one should be on every freelance translator's bookshelf!
